Sarcoidosis
Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease that forms granulomas in the skin and often in other organs, especially the lungs. Skin findings vary widely, from red-brown papules to plaques on scars and tattoos.
Because skin involvement can be the first clue to systemic disease, evaluation typically includes biopsy, imaging, and coordination with pulmonology or other specialists as appropriate.
