Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a chronic immune-mediated disease that causes thick, scaly, well-defined plaques, most often on the elbows, knees, scalp, and lower back. It may also affect the nails and joints.
Treatment has advanced dramatically. Depending on extent and severity we use topical therapy, phototherapy, oral medications, or biologics, and we screen for psoriatic arthritis and related cardiovascular risk.
