Molluscum Contagiosum

Molluscum contagiosum is a common viral infection producing small, firm, dome-shaped bumps with a central dimple. It spreads by skin contact and is especially frequent in children and in patients with eczema.

Lesions eventually resolve on their own, but this can take many months, and treatment limits spread and irritation. Options include cryotherapy, topical medication, and gentle in-office removal.
