Acne

Acne is one of the most common skin conditions we treat, affecting teenagers and adults alike. It develops when oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria block the hair follicle, producing blackheads, whiteheads, inflamed papules, and deeper painful cysts.

Acne is not caused by poor hygiene, and it is highly treatable. Depending on severity we may use topical retinoids, antibiotics, hormonal therapy, or isotretinoin, and we address scarring and discoloration as part of the plan.
